Arthur, Klingsor and Amfortas represent powerful elements in our soul life, and the journeys Parzival and Gawain undertake lead them through a landscape where they encounter these beings and the places where they are at home. What connects them and what distinguishes them, and how does Wolfram's epic so clearly signal to us what they still mean for us in our journey today?

Andrew Wolpert has been working at Emerson College (an adult education establishment based on the work of Rudolf Steiner) for the last seventeen years where his work has included the story of Parzival, Italian Renaissance Art and Shakespeare, as well as English language and culture, and anthroposophy.
